Hello, My name is Alan Mc Donald and I am joint owner of Happy Paws along with my wife Sandra.

We have been animal lovers for over 20 years and are very passionate about what we do. In fact I would say its safe to say that we are both perfectionists and when we take on a project whether its business or personal, we strive to do our absolute best every time.

I have completed a full time professional dog grooming course with Karina Kerrigan at her premises in Newcastle. Karina has run a successful dog grooming business for more than 10 years and holds the city and guilds advanced 7750 qualification. She also competes in the Irish Dog Grooming Championships every year and has achieved multiple awards so you can rest assured I have been trained by one of the best dog groomers in the country.

I am also a member of the IPDGA (Irish professional dog grooming association) and regularly attend seminars to continue to improve my skills.
